The following are the TOP questions commonly asked about Astro Jump® products and services.

  1. Do you deliver and set up?
    Absolutely! An ASTRO JUMP® driver will deliver and set up each inflatable and ensure that it is clean and in good working condition before your party starts and come back to take it down after the party is over. Set up normally takes about 15-30 minutes per piece, and take down is about the same. This service is included in your rental cost as long as you are in Washington, DC, Montgomery or Prince George's County Maryland, or our Virginia coverage area which includes Fairfax County, Alexandria, Arlington County, Prince William County, Loudoun County, and Falls Church. 
  2. What kind of power is required?
    All inflatables require at least one (1) dedicated 110v electrical circuit in order to function properly. Larger inflatables might require more than one. Placement of the ASTRO JUMP® should be no more than 100ft from this dedicated circuit. If you would like to set up an inflatable at a park or place without a dedicated electrical circuit within 100ft, let us know and we can arrange to bring a generator for an additional charge.  Generators are delivered with enough gasoline to last about 4 hours.  Read generator info below for additional details.
  3. What type of surface can the inflatable be placed on?
    The safest surface is a level grassy area. However, we can set up on concrete and asphalt. Please specify when ordering which surface we will be setting up on and we will make sure we utilize the proper ground covers and anchors for your event.
  4. How much room do I need to set up an ASTRO JUMP®?  
  5. When you call to reserve your ASTRO JUMP®, we will let you know the dimensions for the particular shape you will be renting. Also, please check our website for "space needed" info on any piece of ASTRO JUMP® equipment.
  6. Are ASTRO JUMPS® safe?
    Yes. All of our inflatables are constructed to be as safe as possible and purchased through the leading inflatable manufacturers. As with any activity involving small children, an adult should supervise the activity. This will help to ensure that the few simple rules continue to be followed and that someone is always there to assist children entering and exiting the ASTRO JUMP®. Instructions on safely operating your inflatable are on the rental agreement we provide to you on the day of your party and at the entrance of the inflatable. Most of our equipment is also covered for weather protection (direct sun & light rain) and they have netting to allow for great visibility and air circulation.
  7. Are you Insured?
    Yes. All of our ASTRO JUMP® offices are independently owned and operated. However, it is a requirement that all offices carry liability insurance policy. Please note: All individuals and companies that rent from ASTRO JUMP® are required to sign a liability waiver prior to set up, contact your local office for a copy if needed. We CANNOT set up an ASTRO JUMP® until the liability waiver is signed.
  8. Is there a deposit required to reserve ASTRO JUMP® equipment?
    Yes, at least a 20% deposit is required in order to reserve any inflatable rentals with Astro Jump. Entertainers and Attendants are paid at booking and are non refundable.  The remaining balance can be paid during the confirmation call with a credit card or upon delivery with cash or check. We do not accept credit cards upon delivery, so if you prefer to pay with credit you must call in before your party.  
  9. Can I have my party at a park?
    Some ASTRO JUMP® equipment is great for some parks. Some cities require that you have reservations in order to have an ASTRO JUMP® at the park. Also, most cities will require that they be named as additionally insured on our policy.  Check to see if electricity will be available, if not we can arrange for a generator for an additional charge.
  10. What about Generators or Gas Fans?
    These will be delivered with full tanks of gasoline which usually last about 4 hours.  If your party is scheduled to last longer, you will need to provide additional gasoline.  If you order extra gasoline prior to your party we can arrange for it to be delivered for an additional charge. Note: Gasoline motors have hot exhaust so someone with experience should refuel these.  Turn off all blowers or food machines before turning off generator.  Avoid spilling gasoline onto exhaust and do not allow children around this equipment.
  11. How do I reserve my ASTRO JUMP® party?

         What if I have to cancel?
         Sometimes the weather doesn't work out and sometimes people's plans change. Astro Jump® DC delivers rain or shine. If you choose to cancel your party for whatever reason you have until 12:00 noon the day before your party to cancel in order to receive a full refund (excluding attendants and entertainers.)
