There is never a "normal" party.

Every event has its own personality, and after thousands of deliveries across Metro Atlanta, we have seen just about everything.

Here are 50 things we've learned that still make us smile.

1. The birthday child always knows we are coming before anyone else.

2. Someone always asks, "Can adults use it too?"

3. The family dog is convinced we came just to play with them.

4. Every neighborhood has one "party inspector" watching from across the street.

5. Parents always underestimate how much kids can laugh in one day.

6. Grandparents secretly love watching the fun just as much as the kids.

7. Somebody always says, "I wish these existed when I was a kid."

8. Georgia weather changes its mind at least twice before every outdoor party.

9. A backyard can look completely different once an inflatable is set up.

10. The first child down the water slide is usually the bravest.

11. The second child is usually the loudest.

12. Dads often become the "official slide tester."

13. Moms somehow keep everything running while making it look effortless.

14. Someone always forgets sunscreen.

15. Kids can spend six hours on a water slide and still ask, "Can we stay outside?"

16. The best birthday parties aren't always the biggest ones.

17. Every school has at least one teacher who gets just as excited as the students.

33. Someone always volunteers their best friend to go first.

34. We love seeing the same families year after year.

35. Watching kids grow up has been one of the greatest gifts of this business.

36. Every event teaches us something new.

39. The setup always looks easier than it really is.

40. The cleanup is never as sad as saying goodbye to a happy family.
