Spring Activities & Spring Decor

It’s a bitterly cold day today in northwestern Maryland, but this morning, looking out my window I saw my first robin!  And you all know what that means?!!   S-P-R-I-N-G is on its way!   Here is an idea for a fun kids activity to get everyone in the mood for Spring!   Garden Hose WreathDIY Spring Decor You Will Need: 15’ Garden Hose ($7 at Walmart.Com – You don’t want anything too expensive or heavy and go for something in a bright color!) Twisty Tie Silk Flowers  (5-8 Flowers, I recommend Michael’s, best prices and best selection) Garden gloves (Remember- Bright Colors!) Ribbon Butterfly Clip (optional)   How-To: 1. Coil the hose into a tight circle (your hose should be coiled about 3 times) 2. Secure it with an extra large twisty tie (the ones around bread bags are a little too small and flimsy) 3. Trim your silk flowers (separate them if you bought them in bunches stuck together) 4. Randomly place flowers in the twisty tie until you’re happy with your arrangement 5. Place the garden glove on top of the flowers 6. Secure with the ribbon 7. If you purchased a butterfly clip, clip to the petal of one of your flowers 8.
